Original character based in the Slender Man universe, specifically inspired by the Slender, Hospice and other game mods with a female protagonist searching out writings and lost pages of drawings regarding the mythical Slender Man. The premise of the games are that as she collects more pages, she is chased with greater frequency, but if she can muster up enough willpower not to look at him and to never turn her head sharply even when startled, Slender Man cannot move closer to her, bound by the insane rules of whatever eldritch magic controls the faceless monster. Of course, these being Slender Man Mythos based, there is no end, just an eternal ever expanding search.

Riona is suffering from the partial amnesia Slender Man is so fond of inducing in people who investigate him too closely, but though she has a two year gap, she remembers most of her life. She grew up in a small town in Kentucky, where her father was a pediatrician and her mother was an elementary school teacher. An only child, she was always a bit awkward and nervous as a child, but was never friendless. Her life was basically a happy one, with the usual stupid stories and petty drama childhood entailed, up until her parents adopted a boy named Skyler.

She loved her new little brother, possibly the most shy boy in Maine, and they became best friends rapidly. They spent countless hours playing together, but there was always an element of paranoia and fearfulness to his personality she couldn't understand. He insisted on sleeping with the light on, he was plagued by nightmares, and despite Riona's assurances nothing was out there, he was terrified of the woods around their town. Eventually he started telling her about a faceless monster haunting him. Their parents thought he was traumatized from the death of his biological parents and was seeking attention through this and trying to grieve.

Riona, however, saw Slender Man in the flesh, held Skyler close as she yelled at the monster not to touch him. She looked into the internet's wellspring of information on the creature and tried to protect Skyler as best as she could. Eventually, though, he decided that his family would be safer without him and ran off into the woods.

And she followed, thus losing time and memories, but miraculously is still on the trail, collecting the pages of her brother's drawings and getting pieces of her memories back.

A dedicated, loving, protective sister whose willpower in the face of evil is her greatest strength, Riona is actually not that brave in social situations or confronting people. A gentle natured person who's always been bad at talking to people and never used to leave her small town except to go Christmas shopping in Louisville, she can be brave, but only when motivated by her family or by the needs of someone else. Otherwise a normal kid, she wants to be a concert pianist one day, thinks chocolate chip pancakes are the best thing ever, and has a fear of dogs. All dogs. Ever.
